my company just told us to use all our PTO by april 30th

yeah im assuming its a cost saving move since the workload demand is not as high right now (everyone working remote & got several workers for different contracts/clients sitting on the "bench"
so everybody will burn through their PTO now and whenever we get back to work it will pretty much be all hands on deck for the months following to make up loss revenue

I wouldn't pay your rent if you dont got a nest egg. A LOT of people are going to be in your situation and so many wont be able to afford rent. Police have more important things to do than evict people in a crisis. Stay strong

Problem is when all this is over people gonna have to catch up on rent and that's another financial strain even after they find a new job.

Correct but it's better to eat now while still having a roof over your head than pay rent and starve.
