Fudd reminds me of Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis, skillset too limited to be the featured dawg and if her shot not falling then she's really limited. They lost an Egyptian C to an achilles tendon tear over the summer in FIBA play but Geno still got a 6'6" former 15 recruit in Amari Deberry sitting on the bench that he never plays, and basically only played Aaliyah Edwards as the only big for the entire 2nd half. He does that shyt every year where he only goes about 7 deep and has former McDonalds AAs transferring out of the program because he doesn't play them.They need size as well. Fudd was supposed to bring that but she's had too many knew injuries.
The the crop of players they brought in this year, they at least have more depth. But that run they had been over. It's going to take a lot for them to get back to dominance, but at the same time Geno is on his last leg. Once he leaves all bets are off. Tennessee already went through that phase when Pat Summit left, and they haven't been a contender since.

2024 is looking like an all time draft class.
2025 looking like an extremely weak class. If Reese comes back which I expect because she's a 2nd rounder once scouts really dig in, she's a top 3 lock next year. It's just that fukking weak.
2026 will be a good class with that Wemby French girl in it.
2027 Will be an all timer. Hannah, Juju, Mikaela Williams from LSU, Fulwiley, etc. Sheesh!!!
2024 is insane in that everyone can get a good player in the 1st round. Everyone. It's that loaded. That's why I think Angel will come back to 2025 in a weak class. Be a franchise face and LSU should be favorite again.

Because of NIL I don’t see how any player would not want to use all of their eligibility. If you’re a star player, you have no incentive to come out early, unless it’s to play overseas.
The WNBA doesn’t do a good job marketing their league or star players.

The good news is that the overall state of women's ball is improving right now so the money should follow soon for the WNBA as media rights negotiations and everything becomes a factor
The WNBA is still the pentacle and they actually need some of these top girls like Caitlin and Paige to grow the sport to the masses for the pros.
That said, girls who are basically 2nd rounders or late 1st rounders with tremendous NIL could stay like Angel.
