Obviously people care if they're willing to give their rights up to get radio play.
Im speaking from the fans perspective breh. If the radio stations around the would stopped playing Rap there would still be multiple outlets to listen to rap without a forced generic corporate sound to it.

not ALL ARTSTS......

Just like NOT ALL COMMON FOLK should try to start their own business...their lack of discipline should make them realize they are better off being WORKERS

JT has an enterprising grind...that's a value that is not as common as we think

also JT is content with HIS level of success

their might be others who want GLOBAL EXPOSURE and that's where a Major Label becomes a neccsity

Its not just that. If you are someone like Nicki Minaj who has the ability to land endorsement deals those kind of partnerships are not done with independent artists because they are not visible enough.
If everyone was independent, its possible she could be bigger.

POWERFUL STUFF...

I hear this independent hustle thing all the time and just think, running a business is not for someone who cant keep his lights and cable from getting turned off every couple months... its a business not magic.

She wouldn't have ended up on Pepsi commercials as an independent artist. Those types of deals are done among big marketing firms and powerful agents.

Not knocking being independent. Nicki Minaj is an exception. Not the norm. Just playing devils advocate in here.
