didn't bond franchise struggle to replace Connery??

yes and no. a lot of the roger moore era movies made good money. bond fans generally agree that a lot of his movies are also the worst. the series still exists 50 years later so that says a lot too. Sean Connery is my favorite, but Daniel Craig has been great, and so was Pierce Brosnan who was a great Bond in some bad Bond movies.

RDJ CAN be replaced, but why do it if $ is the only factor? Pay the man. Avenger's would never have happened without the success of Iron Man to start it off.

Well... one positive about replacing him is that we won't have to see Stark out his armor every 30seconds to warrant the actors high price tag.

:bryan: how old are you...many many people has always said that he was the best bond, ever

Replaceable due to age...sure.

But James Bond = Sean Connery

You're sounding like the nikkas who weren't around when Jordan played. Talking about "Lebron James greatest ever"

didn't bond franchise struggle to replace Connery??

To answer this all at once, sure, Connery might still be the best Bond of all time, but it's not as if his position is untouchable. I don't know how big a deal it was when he got replaced in the late 60's because I'm not over 50 years old but it's not as if Moore, Brosnan and Craig aren't recognized of being just as big a part in the history of Bond as Connery. Like RJY33 said, it's been 50 years and the Bond franchise is still as strong as ever, so clearly Connery wasn't the end-all of the role.

I am a Bond fan and I do think Connery is still the best Bond, but calling him irreplaceable is just silly when the James Bond character is arguably the world's most renowned pop culture icon portrayed by multiple people. Irreplaceable would be something like Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones, or Bruce Willis as John McClane.

Only talks of being replaced cause he's trying to do a good thing. Apparently he sees his cast members as his friends and is trying to get them paid. Even though a lot of people enjoy the other characters, he is clearly the fan favorite from his interviews to his performances.

Anyone who has seen the fandom of Iron Man or The Avengers thinks replacing him is a bad idea. For everyone involved, they believe RDJ encapsulates the role of Stark. Replacing any of the characters at this point if you've seen how strong people are attached to them wouldn't be a smart move on anyone's part.

By the end of Daniel Craig's run as James Bond. There will be a strong argument that he is the best. He still has two more movies to go :noah: :bryan::bryan::bryan:
