This isn't to be rude at all, but the last time "internationalist" meant anything of substance was in my senior year advanced comparative politics class. From what I can remember, Reagan was much more of an internationalist than Trump. He also didn't go out of his way to sow as much hatred and division domestically.
You all have continually mistaken "power" for usefulness.the "republican establishment" answers to MAGA as long as trump is breathing and not in prison
the "republican establishment" is so scared of upsetting trumps base that they cant even tell trump he lost the fukkin election. trumps endorsement is what will crown the 24 nominee. thats why hawley is doing this
did you post this from under a rock?
trump owns 85 percent of the party. theyre the same until hes dead or irrelevantYou all have continually mistaken "power" for usefulness.
Their plan is to bully the imaginary progressives while allowing their moderate friends to support Hawley like the confused weirdos they are.Better have a plan for him...
I don't think Hawley would be a good president.Denounce Hawley instead of twisting yourselves into pretzels?
This isn't true.
Trumpism been around since this nation was formed. It’s called white nationalism. Trump just rode the same wave that Reagan, Nixon, Wilson, Johnson, Jackson, etc. rode.Trumpism is the American version of the populist nationalism you see in Europe with people like Orban, Farage, and Le Pen. Racism and "return to halcyon days of greatness"
I meant it more in terms of foreign policy, not economics. Also, the difference in divisive rhetoric is more significant than you give it credit for. I don't remember right wing street gangs beating up people while wavung Reagan flags in the 80s.This isn't to be rude at all, but the last time "internationalist" meant anything of substance was in my senior year advanced comparative politics class.
Trump and Reagan absolutely supported US domestic corporations, and worldwide corporate expansion. They just wanted sweetheart deals.
Reagan also spent quite a bit of time "sowing hate" domestically, he just did it in a much cleaner way - owing to a better vocabulary and a more calming voice.
This is true. We just haven't seen it as in your face recently, except in Europe.Trumpism been around since this nation was formed. It’s called white nationalism. Trump just rode the same wave that Reagan, Nixon, Wilson, Johnson, Jackson, etc. rode.
They ain’t even trying to make this make sense.Denounce Hawley instead of twisting yourselves into pretzels?
