Ted Cruz is using talking points from antiquity, Pittsburgh hasn't been a manufacturing hub for 3-4 decades. They shifted to new economy jobs (law, education, healthcare, tech, etc.) and started focusing heavily on education and healthcare. Places like Pitt are why the Democrats heavily push the occupational shift for steel/coal workers, that's literally what happened there and why that city has been better off when compared to their post-industrial counterparts.
He’s not even trying to have a real fact based discussion trying to creat a Trump style line to say at rallies “Why are we putting Paris first ? Let’s make a Pittsburgh agreement!! “ it’s so see through and disgusting

Well, Ted Cruz's argument is stupid for 2 reasons:

1. The Paris Climate Agreement has "Paris" in the name not because it's only for the people who live in Paris but because that's where it was signed.

2. Cruz and other Republicans were trying to throw out Pennsylvania's electoral college votes (which would have disenfranchised the people of Pittsburgh)
