If I was a marginal NBA player, I would model my career after his to a T. Go to Greece and immediately be probably the best player on the team, get free housing and cheuffer (like he got), and TAX FREE paychecks which ended up being way more than what he gave up with the hawks. Smart as hell

It's not that simple though, a lot of players go overseas thinking they can dominate, make good money, become superstars and end up falling right back in the d league or bouncing around the globe on short contracts...unless your in a top tier club there is no stability at all compared to the nba...it obviously wasn't all glitz and glam for Childress cause it looks like he been bouncing around since he tried to come back to the nba.....Smart dude though, his business mind seem bigger than basketball....

Interviewed a breh who played a little D-League and lower tier overseas squads the past few years. Folks thinking you can bank in every country overseas don't understand the half.

I also got a couple former NBA cats and top tier overseas dudes I wanna interview as well

In a way I appreciate what he saying :jbhmm:, but after spending my WHOLE life getting by on less than 40k a year- I feel no sympathy :manny:

Give me $11M spread out over 5 years ( I have earned around 110k over the last 5 years-), and its still more than i have EVER made in all my years combined--:mjcry:

I bet I start a few businesses, invest, and put myself in a situation where I'm GOOD for the REST of my life. :blessed:

we all pay taxes.. People in sales/commission professions pay way more taxes than NBA players.

I know, the point was that the OP was talking about getting that 11 million when the first thing Childress said in the video is that the 11 million isn't really 11 million.

I remember dude from ncaa 2k lol :russ:
I have to think he only went overseas cause he was a marginal player. People act like him quitting the NBA was some genius move, naw he knew he'd make more money quicker being a star overseas then being a scrub here. The thing that fukks guys up is chasing that dream of the NBA. He was honest enough with himself to go for the bread
