I understand this movie is a low-budget, parody based on a fictional story. But under no circumstances should a non-black actor play a Black person in a movie. I don't care what the person looked like.
This is disrespectful to MJ(who identified as a Black man to the day he died), his legacy, and to Black people in general. To those claiming it is so impossible to find a Black actor to play post-vitiligo MJ, take a look at one of MJ's impersonators, a Black man named E'Casanova.
His "after" appearance is the result of makeup and prosthetics, that's it. Filmmakers can easily find a Black man to do this role, they just prefer not to for obvious reasons. I would think the Black people here would be highly cognizant of that.
