Why were people expecting her to sell well in America?
She hasn't really had an American push and is signed to a UK independant label.

I think the internet buzz because she's dope and pretty has ppl confused. These are good numbers. Only just turned 21 too. She's had some big looks (Drake and Kendrick features off her talent but that's it)

Isn't she independent? But yeah there were no singles, Blue Lights been out since last year. And I don't feel like them slow ballroom ballad sittings joints with no drums is the way to go

That's one thing that was a drawback about her album, she had these ballads that just dragged on yet lacked the melodies and soul that would make them appealing. Definitely a white/euro style of ballad, sounded like Adele or lykke li type songs, I like those two, but their ballads can be drab.

Needed more stuff like On My Mind. If she was on a major she could reach the Adele crowd that would fukk with this funeral music but her average fan is probably 24 yrs old and is more in tune with rhythmic shyt

her youtube and instagram numbers are always strong plus the album had no features , sshes got time to blow up, back in the 80s and 90s not every 1st album blew up
