Yeah, Jorge has been MAGA'd up for a while now, but seeing Usman showing up at Trump rallies is wack and disappointing.
They get citizenship just by coming off the boat. The only difference with them and mexicans is the Castro family never bowed out so the US can go in and get cheap labor. Republicans still treat cuba like it's the cold war, so their anti-castro family policy is popular with white cubans, who tend to have more money too.
Obama got rid of the wet foot policy, but trump brought it back.

Jorge is a republican as most white cubans are. theyre the ones that granted them asylum. in other words...if they make it on our shores, they get to stay. I get the political alliance they have with the party

prior to Fidel Castro the people who ran Cuba oppressed poor and colored people. Castro comes in stops this by attempting to distribute the countries income and resources equally, which meant alot of Middle and upper class (white) cubans leaving the country.
Florida is the easiest (90 min speedboat) ride for them, once they got there, especially anyone with any type of influence was promised if they could help take out Castro they would get there former wealth, they were also given immigration privileges that no else had, basically if you could make it from Cuba to hear and touch dry land (literally) you could stay . They tried and tried but failed at getting Castro out and most because of the more easy immigration process have a easier time here and lean republican with the hopes of still getting Cuba "freed"

Masvidal I knew about. Once I heard the Usman-Covington exchange after Covington's fight, I definitely got suspicious. I guess he really doesn't mind the "Marty from Nebraska" moniker. Colby has to be furious because his whole schtick is diluted now. He can't sell a fight against either one of those dudes by just wearing a MAGA hat. Now he has to go back into his bag of racist tricks and say some disgusting shyt about their ethnicity.
