R. KELLY WAS NOT FIRED BY DISNEY
NOR DID HE HAVE AN INTERVIEW WITH A DISNEY NETWORK.

No he just ended up in Jail shortly thereafter

The point is that just because he’s doing GMA which is owned by Disney doesn’t mean Disney is trying to get him a backdoor into being Kang again or even gives a shyt about his career one way or the other. Disney is a major conglomerate. They own half of Hollywood. They’ll gladly take the ratings and watch him burn while doing so.

This is Disney's version of the Walk of Shame for Majors. He will bounce back

Disney had to fire him, its inconsistent with their corporate code to have him stay. Far bigger people in the company have been fired for less, like the Pixar dude. Its not personal that they let him go. Still, it doesnt affect reality.

They probably offered him the interview as an olive branch but at the end of the day, its public perception that will seal his fate and white women will never let him be Kang again or have an A list career without reminding us of his transgressions. He's hoping black women will have his back that's why he's moving the way he's moving.
I always mentor the younger brehs on how messing with the wrong woman can bring you down for life. Always choose wisely.

:what:

Why are you quoting an article from August when "Loki" season 2 aired in November, and was doing 11+ mill an ep?

That's the last appearance of Kang. Which aired right in the middle of all this other nonsense.

Nobody gives a fukk about that trial and Disney is silly for dropping him. Let alone rewriting an entire multi-movie arc, like you're suggesting.

Fred.

Remember they fired James Gunn also and then brought him back? No one else is going to play Kang. No one wants the role. This was all smoke and mirrors and a convenient way to change course because the story they were building wasn’t selling.

I totally forgot about that...:ohhh: they did bring gunn back and he made a dope GTOG3 and is now head of the DCEU for WB....

Majors is starring in Elijah Bynum’s film, ‘Magazine Dreams’, which was produced by Searchlight Pictures/Disney with a release date that’s currently in limbo. Can see them wanting to get that rebrand going ASAP in order to release it someday. The parallelisms between the film’s subject matter and real-life case are too damning to warrant a theatrical release, but I can see it getting shadow-dropped on Hulu in the end.

Not looking good :francis:

Now, a release by Searchlight is looking more and more unlikely.

Officially, Searchlight is maintaining radio silence on the project’s fate. Unofficially, sources close to the project do not see a scenario in which Searchlight opens the movie on the big screen, or even on Disney’s more adult-skewing streaming service Hulu as some have speculated. Marketing the film would likely be problematic, because of its themes of personal violence.
