This is the thing that people don't get when they talk about NJPW and AEW needing to partner up. The main benefit in using guys like Omega and the Bucks for New Japan is drawing a US audience and they can draw for their US shows, but if AEW won't allow them to use them on their US shows, then what's the point?

They're competing for the same neckbeard audience when NJPW run in the US. They're competitors. NJPW can't just treat AEW like a little brother the way they do ROH. I don't think it's workable

Did they? He would have been in a filler tag team match like 5th or 6th from the top and show is probably gonna sell out anyway.

and? they have had issues selling tickets for that Dallas show and if you don't see how Moxley would help them move tickets in the US ain't nothing ima tell you to change that.

Have him tag w Shotta against literally anyone.

I genuinely don't see how a throw away tag up the card would really turn the tide on ticket sales on a show with NJPW throwing out some of the biggest matches they have.

To me it's pretty obvious they always knew he wasn't appearing on that show, hence him being in B Block anyway :yeshrug:

And all the NJ US shows have had slow ticket sales because they don't announce cards until the 25th hour. NJ's strategy with the US shows is something else. We just found out the card to this show like a day or two ago.

Basically, I don't see any reason to believe Mox in a non-important role on a card would really set the sales on fire.

Is there really anyone who's not gonna go anyway who woulda made the leap because Moxley is gonna clock in maybe 3-4 mins of in-ring time?

If I was AEW I would be much more worried about him wrestling Ishii:damn: then wrestling for someone else in the US
I legit still have flashbacks of that G1 match last year that Omega had with Ishii :to:

Pitbull left Kenny LEAKIN breh...you ain't supposed to treat the IWGP Champ like that:mjcry:

the beards swearing japan and aew gonna play nice, its wishful thinking to me. Japan needed him big for that Dallas show.

I think they'll be fine with Okada/Tanahashi and Ibushi/KENTA. Would be really interesting if the show doesn't do well with the card that's been announced.

Breh, if the issue is that they don't announce cards is the issue, how would announcing Moxley in his first NJPW match on US soil NOT help move some tickets?

The only way it doesn't matter if he's on the card or not is if the show is sold out. At this point, being two and a half weeks out with tickets still available to the first night of the G1, they'd probably take anything that would spur sales.

I don’t understand this. Every knowledgeable beard knows he’s wrestling in NJ. NJ doesn’t tour here, so why stop him from wrestling on NJ’s US shows? If it’s a marketing issue you can always use him to promote AEW.
