they were probably about to lose pedro on the show, he had set actors working the suit last season. faced with the prospect of losing other actors and audience they probably had to push the movie out over another mid season. but imo
it was best to let this series die. lucasfilm gonna get this work if the 4 movies flop like indy. could've just been a decent tv studio now its looking like curtains.
