Dude has no buzz or following which is why his album will never come out on Aftermath.

And people love to blame Dre but this is the same exact reason why countless artists that were signed to Aftermath never dropped an album.

This came out in January and received zero push. Jon Conner wasn't out doing interviews, nothing has really been written about the track, etc. This is what I keep trying to tell people when they act like Interscope just pushes "the button" and things move. The button doesn't matter if you don't have a fanbase/movement. I'm pretty sure Connor hasn't put out a mixtape since 2014. He has fans of course, but the work hasn't been put in to constantly keep them activated/interested.

This is always the case with Aftermath artists. They sign and then Dre has them in the studio nonstop, "working." To Dre, that's what work is. And the artists fear if they aren't showing up consistently, he'll lose interest in them. Meanwhile they aren't releasing any music or touring or talking or anything else.

It blows my mind that Aftermath still hasn't learned a damn thing from TDE.

Yup the artists sign with Dre and think that's the job done. But people who continue to grins and build a movement like Paak and Kendrick are the ones who actually find succeess.

A simple co sign will create interest but not success.
