I saw it yesterday. It really seems as if Philipps decided to take everything that made the first a success and throw it out the window. I assume it's the whole talk of "incel movie" or whatever bs back then that irked him so the whole movie kind of feels like a big "fukk you" to whoever liked the first one. It sucks because the Joker is a really interesting character played perfectly by Joaquin Phoenix. A sequel wasn't even necessary but if you make one at least keep the spirit of the first movie. Or even if you want to go in another direction make sure you make a good entertaining movie. This one isn't. The whole story with Gaga is totally useless, pacing is all over the place, let's not even get into the whole "musical" thing. For whatever reason Philipps/producers decided this sequel was necessary and decided to kill everything that worked in the first one. The funny thing is that I have no idea who could even like this movie. Quite obviously whoever liked the first one probably won't, but neither will "the other side", since it's just not that good of a movie.
