As long as somebody, at some point in the film, cosplays as The Joker fanboys are gonna eat it up.

You could remake When Harry Met Sally and as long as Billy Crystal paints his face who cares if it's not really a Joker movie.

That's too much... not a huge budget but betting on a musical to do big money is a chore
