I'm in my late 30's... I'm trying to get a little cut but like I said in my title, no squat, bench or deadlift.

What do you think? It's called snap fitness, it's really close to my house.
Did you check out the business before signing up?
Snap Fitness and various other no-hulks-allowed type fitness centers are becoming more common. I don't know if it has anything to do with the movie Dodgeball where Vince Vaughn's character ends up opening a gym for "regular Joe's".
You can get into shape and make some gains with whatever equipment they have. Nothing stopping you from doing machine-based chest press or leg press exercises by selecting a challenging number of plates. It's when you need to go with heavier weight is when you need to check out.

OP,

Since you are in your late 30's and your high testosterone days have passed you by, I really think your goals should be general fitness oriented anyways. This means, above all else, maintaining a low bodyfat percentage and improving heart health. (just my opinion)

You can achieve this without proper equipment. A solid diet and cardio along with a balanced workout routine (dumbell and bodyweight based) can get you there.

Being 'cut' will come with a low BF%, you don't necessarily need a ton of muscle mass. And to be frank, you aren't going to build a ton of muscle mass anyway at your age unless you start looking into pharmaceuticals.

Now, you absolutely will NOT build a solid strength base with the equipment at Snap Fitness. But you can definitely be fit and cut without them. You can do damn near any exercise you need to with dumbells, you just may not be able to load enough weight on some of them once you get stronger. But you are an old fart, just get healthy. If you can get in the groove, you will look back in 2 years and say WOW I'm glad I started when I did.

:heh: They don't have any barbells at all? Gyms like that exist?

What's the crowd going there looking like? I bet the cardio machines greatly outweigh their weight equipment.
