He is among industry insiders, he ain't sold enough dope for the general public to really grasp his genius
I was listening to the Hook soundtrack last week and you listen to his compositions you start seeing the actual scenes play out from the movie

Its because he actually writes leitmotifs, kind of like unique melodies that build associations between characters, places, themes etc....shyt sometimes they even merge..

But the trend towards minimilist composition (Zimmer) kind of killed this wave and melody in general when it comes to film music.

Ennio and Williams are the Goats.
