Nah the first one was the worst movie ever. I saw the sequel and even though it was pretty bad not as horrible as the first. They clearly tried to hop on The Raid wave and put them in the sequel. Remember they were trying to do an American remake version of The Raid with Frank Grillo.

Going to get film nerdy but actually the guy who wrote the first movie didn't like how it turned out so he got the chance to direct and write the 2nd and wanted to change the tone up and since Grillo is the new b movie Kurt Russell, he went to him and thankfully he loved it.

I know all this weird shyt because the director was on a horror podcast I listen to

Nah thats what I was saying. The sequel was palatable just bc it was on Netflix
