This is further proof of wrestling needing an off-season. Think about how everyone reacts when there's a return; from injury, from outside projects, whatever. Dudes come back and people actually kinda give a shyt. Give people shifting time off to go do other projects, get eyes on them in other media from their own work, come back refreshed and to a match worth a shyt, and it can rehab anyone. Just this last 12 months, it's worked for Roman, it's gonna work for Cena, hell, Bray coming back with the fresh character came after they stopped making us watch the same trash Bray match where he lost all the time and kept him away for a while.
Good for Cena, getting to come back and actually be cheered for what will be one of his last matches, whenever it happens - likely at WM.
Funny looking back at that Once (
) in a Lifetime build, seeing that Cena was literally just going to become Dwayne in the hollywood shyt that Cena buried dude for. Die a hero, etc.
