I heard it was Anthony Mason especially being from Queens I think.

My step brother used to play ball with him in the summer leagues in the late 1990's early 2000's. He said AM was like the Mike Tyson of those leagues. :merchant:
The shyt he did on tv was nothing compared to his streetball games... With that being said, maybe he acted different with gat in his face :manny:

That story was true! :gladbron:

Yes. It was a True Story. But I think the robbery is slightly exaggerated But it kinda went down like that. As for who it is. I don't think Biggie wanted to embarrass anyone so he just gave descriptions in the song. I just love how he tells the story in normal form at the end. He rapped this joint with no hook straight through. Here's the original version, Chucky Thompson replayed the sample on the album:

Oh yeah I've heard stories about how he got down off the court. He's an official dude from what I heard but like you said if someone had the chrome in his face that probably changed the situation.

first time john starks ever admits he's not 6 5, all the sites on the internet list him as 6 5 (even though he is clearly not)

The song ended Disc 1 perfectly and it showed Biggie's range in storytelling. He could do very serious or comedic. This song was like a Romantic Comedy on wax. But one cool thing I noticed about Biggie's stories, he always ended with some kind of "Shock" ending, like the story always took a crazy turn by the end of the song.

Yo man, y'all nikkas ain't gonna believe what the fukk happened to me.
Remember that bytch I left the club with man? Yo, freaky yo. I'm up in
this bytch player this bytch fukking run them old Knick ass nikkas and shyt,
I'm up in the spot though. One of them six-five nikkas, I don't know.
Anyway I'm up in the motherfukking spot, so boom I'm up in the p*ssy,
whatever whatever. I sparks up some lye, Pop Duke creeps up in on some,
must have been rained out or something *laughing* because he's in the
spot
. Had me scared, had me scared, I was shook Daddy - but I forget I
had my Roscoe on me. Always. You know how we do. So anyway the nikka
comes up the stairs, he сreeping up the steps, the bytch all shook she
sends the nikka back downstairs to get some drinks and shyt. She gettin
mad nervous, I said fukk that man! I'm the nikka, you know how we do it
nikka, ransom note style put the scarf around my motherfukking face,
gagged that bytch up, played the kizzack. Soon this nikka comes up in
the spot, flash the Desert in his face he drops the glass. Looked like
the nikka pissed on his-self or somethin, word to mother! Ahh fukk it
this nikka runs dead to the floor, peels up the carpet, start giving me
mad papers, mad papers. (I told you that bytch was a shiesty bytch cause!
Word to mother I used to fukk her cousin but you ain't know that! Hahaha.
You wouldn't know that shyt. Really though.) I threw all that
motherfukking money up in the Prater knapsack. Two words, I'm gone!
(No doubt, no doubt... no doubt!) Yo nikka got some lye, y'all got
some lye?

It's either Starks or Mason. If it's Mason, there's no way Starks was gonna tell on his friend/business partner in the vid posted earlier in this thread:

Me personally, I assumed it was Starks too but my homie said Big gave us a hint who it was about with the line (double entendre):

"fukk around shyt get dark to him, put a part through him"

"played the cut, nikka comin on some love potion shyt" :banderas:

The sample was amazing. Don't get me wrong, I like how Chucky replayed it on "Life After Death" but it's sad they couldn't get the original sampled cleared. That Harp sample is just music to my ears. Love the OG "I got a story to tell".
