Class act . Gold standard of sports reporting , commentary , critique. Actually made me gain respect for sports journalism . He lended credence to sports commentary . He's one of the few I looked to as the real deal among a sea of sports hacks posing as reporters .

Wow, mixed feelings. He's like staple but he wasn't a personality that stood out. Like everybody knows him but at the same time personality wise, he wasn't like a star so to speak. It's weird but rip nonetheless

I grew up loving hockey as a kid and there wasnt't that many black men on tv who talked hockey. I would watch sports reporters just because of him since he would talk hockey; I think he did some NHL 2 Night in the '90s too.
