How many people here play the game discussed in OP?
There's this annoying pattern where people get hyped about a game coming out and then a week after it's released just completely forget about it. Happened with that Horizon game, the spiderman shyt, etc. Like people have to force themselves to get excited for mediocrity.

i just beat the game. it's as good as a platformer can get
I found this game very boring. It just did not do it for me unlike Littlebigplanet...

Think you're extremely exaggerating with that "hype, but no play time" notion here or at least, picked some extremely poor examples of it. The Horizon and Spiderman threads, damn near everyone that commented in them have beaten the games (some multiple times) or at least played the shyt out of them based on the conversations in the thread. And if talk is cheap, one could always check trophies for the games.
As for Sackboy, I've beaten it front to back with my daughter and play it here and there on occasion with her still. Ran a few levels with the online homie as well.
