Born and raised in North Jersey, WFAN callers always gave me second-hand embarrassment. After leaving for the west coast in 2010, I began to understand why people hated NY sports so much.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure this happens in Philly and Boston, too. But as a Yankee/Knick/Ranger fan, it's hard to listen to these people.

Also, for the most part, you gotta be a special kind of moron to be a regular caller to a sports radio show. Unless you're retired or whatever.
