Not only for executing the Manning trade which resulted in having a number #1 seed this year, but having enough foresight to see the potential locker room problem Tebow's presence (no fault of his own...the media) was becoming as certain players were becoming angry at Tebow getting adulated at their expense. And then to pull a fourth rounder out of it and handing the problem off to the next team was genius.

Ryan Grigson from the Colts deserves it, completely new team, players, system, coordinators, head coach with cancer, 11-5 and playoffs

Plus Indy's Rookie draft picks have done a lot better than Denver and are major contributors, directly on the GM

Denver and Elway did great but lets be real their biggest move was picking up Peyton Manning......that made everything else he did look significantly better

Not sure if the Colts will be the same next season though, considering how many close wins they had. Elway also drafted last year's DROY and potential DPOY in Von Miller.

dude has been beasting.

I agree, they should be much better.

You have literally a team full of rookies pulling together and winning close games, almost unheard of. The defense and special teams can only get better, and the offense is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

Being able to put this together from a 2 win squad that was purged of even most of it's best players is incredible

You're right.

This is going to be a tough decision on who wins it this year.

He also picked up Chris Harris who went undrafted last year. Dude has been a borderline probowler at corner, especially considering that defenses target him more to get away from Champ.
Then there's Rahim moore and Derek Wolfe who he took in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. Danny Trevathan in the 6th round who has been solid whenever he has had to substitute.

He's been on a roll. I didn't realize how well he did until he traded Tebow and I looked at what he's put together and did the :ohhh:

Maybe...

But unless the team wins atleast two playoff games, what was really gained?

The problem with this is that it assumes that Tebow would've kept winning. Remember Vince Young?

What if Denver kept Tebow and he regressed while wasting all that talent while Peyton went elsewhere and had success? Would there be anything gained then?

Is this a joke? Last year the Broncos only got to the divisional round and lost. They are already in the divisional round this year without having to play a wildcard game.

They won 8 games last year, they had an 11 game win streak this year and earned #1 seed and HFA.
