This angle has so many lapses in logic that it wraps around to being incredible.
1. The idea that John Cena, the flag bearer and biggest star of the past 13 years who is literally THE BIGGEST STAR OF ALL TIME to an entire generation, who is the biggest name still active on the roster, is open to either show and literally begging to get booked, can't get booked.
2. Meanwhile, the GM and Commissioner of Raw, along with the COO of the entire company, have booked themselves in a match. The SD Commissioner will definitely be booked as well, and SD's GM will likely be involved somehow.
3. John Cena has essentially booked himself into whatever match he's wanted for the past 8 months with no one in charge giving a shyt or arguing at all. Why can't he just...book himself a WM match?
4. If the match ends up being with Taker, that's even more hilarious, as Taker is a guy they've let book himself against anyone for any reason with no story reason or PATH TO WRESTLEMANIA for a good 7 years now.
So, you have the people in charge of both shows forgoing putting on a marquee match with the biggest star around when he's BEGGING them to book him, but they can book themselves in matches. John Cena, who in WWE canon is second only to Bruno in terms of length of dominance (Cena's run on top is longer than Hogan's, double the lengths of Austin/Rock/Backlund), has been reduced to being Dennis Stamp. In a perfect world this would end with Vince coming out and abolishing the GM system for everyone involved being incompetent egomaniacs. \
The meta angle here is, of course, petty as shyt as the whole theme is John Cena needs WWE a lot more than WWE needs him. I'm half expecting Vince to come out next week and say he'll give Cena a WM match if he cancels Ferdinand 2 or some shyt.
