"Jericho: It was WWE Team vs. Team Nexus...and the finish boiled down to you [Edge] and me [Jericho] were in there, but it was Cena against a couple of them. John wanted to do things a certain way and we told him 'you're wrong'. Remember that? And he did it anyways, and it sucked. And then afterwards he came over to us and said 'I should have listened to you, but I wasn't seeing it that way. And sometimes you just don't see it that way, you know?

Edge: It's one of those things...where he was adamant about what he wanted to do. And I remember, I was like, 'fine, I'm out of the match by that point'.

Jericho: [Laughes] Exactly. He wanted to get DDT'd on the floor by Barrett, then kick out and beat them both. And you and I were like, 'that's the dumbest thing. That's just throwing it away for no reason'.

Edge: They should have gone over because they were so hot."

I think this story says a lot about the good and bad in Cena.

• Carlito made an appearance on MLW's Konnan Show and spoke for the first time about a fight that took place after hours with John Cena during his WWE run.

"I actually had a fight with Cena," he said. "I forget where it was, but we got into a fight. A drunken fist fight. He told me I wasn't applying myself. He said I should be at a higher level. I didn't punch him because I'm not going to punch the face of the company. It was more like a drunken fight. I don't think we were out to hurt each other. I was just defending myself, but Cena, he's strong as hell."

He added, "[Cena] jumped at me first. They ended up separating us about three times. I felt like he and I had always been close. I think he just wanted to see me do better. Cena is one of those guys that's a top guy, but he wants to see other guys. He doesn't try to hold guys down, he wants to see them come up."

Carlito also talks about being told that he needed to "be more like Eddie Guerrero" after Eddie's death, CM Punk being disliked backstage and more.

I'm not defending Cena, but you notice how it's always lower mid-card/jobber types that criticize him? Personality wise, Punk seemed like someone who would clash with Cena backstage. But he didn't have anything negative to say about him. Seems like they had a mutual respect.

Just makes me wonder if Cena is just a bully to jobbers only

Barrett was going over the entire roster and Cena held him down....lol. Cena would put Shelton over in interviews but never did one job for him. Guy is a loser. Insecure about his reactions and actually buys into the hype that he outworks everyone in the back. If he was that good or special, he wouldn't need coddling from commentary and the company in general.
