This story touches me. Ever since last year I try to walk my hood at least 3-5 times a week. There's always some white folks walking their dogs without a leash. I got my headphones zoning out to Combat Jack, Tariq or Juan Ep then I hear barking and something running up on me scaring the shyt out of me. Sometimes it's small which doesn't bother me but then some big ass dog does it and I be scared shytless. I like dogs but I don't like unfamiliar dogs running up on me.

KENSINGTON (CBS SF) — A small dog was killed in an encounter with a jogger in Kensington that resulted in the man kicking the dog in the head, causing it to go into convulsions and die, according to the dog’s owner.
The incident involved an off-leash pug and happened Saturday morning along Old School Trail at the end of Grizzly Peak Blvd. near the Berkeley border.
Kensington Police Chief Greg Harman told Berkeleyside that the owner and the jogger “each has their own versions of what occurred.”
A Facebook comment on the Berkeleyside Facebook page post by a person named Stephanie Lisi said,
I assure you my pug did not even cross this man’s path.she was running towards his left side, when I called her back to me.She had turned to come to me when the jogger kicked out to his left with such violence he either broke her neck or caused a massive head injury as she dropped where she stood, eyes rolled up in her head. This attack was unprovoked as he was passing her by and could have just kept going. He made the decision to commit such a heinous act on an my little girl. She wouldn’t have even been able to get her little maw around his leg. This man is at least 6 ft.tall.Mei Fun stands maybe 9 inches at her shoulder.
The man involved has not been identified.
A post by Mary Barnsdale on a neighborhood Facebook group called it a ‘vicious jogger incident’ and described him as a tall, older male who is known to frequent the trail. Barnsdale claimed the 2-year-old pug was “running alongside the jogger, who went out of his way to kick her in the head.”
Harman told Berkeleyside the investigation would be forwarded to county animal control and the district attorney’s office.
