As a medium level fan of Big L, who the hell wants to see a Big L biopic?

It’s def a story that can be done well as a movie. Is haas a dramatic/tragic ending, rise to (almost) stardom, he was almost signed to Rocafella etc.

Only way to do it. Is to set up a ice t syndicate movie realm that has finesse and Everlast.
Which is why the idea of this movie is a stretch to pitch. Plus the movie industry has no idea how to go urban anything anymore. So a choice like rich or hudlin would never get picked. Nor would someone be really smart and ask cooler to do this.

All in all,....
I just wish my favorite from that Era. Had a real way to get shine. That was not such a spreadsheet outlier. That it could be budgeted to hit the silver screen style theatre.

Nah if done right shyt could be official. Big L big bros was official nikkas and they from a wild block the stories just from his block could be movie. AZ rich and alpo wasn't nationally known before paid in full. The story still resonate so why not Lamont. Plus Joey starting to get a face card as an actor. shyt could be dope in the right hands.

dosn't matter. I was a huge Big L fan(yes, prior to his death) and the only hip hop biopics that people haven't trashed are those written by and starring kkkrakkers. There have only been 5 hip hop biopic films(/wutang is a series)

Roxanne - Dope netflix release that went nowhere and flew under the radar

Biggie - was trashed before release and Gravy did a great job with a dope script.

2pac - was trashed before release and Shipp did a great job. the movie DOA

NWA - about 20% factual as they deleted the existence of Arabian Prince, had Ren and Yella as cameo appearances, saying Eazy E was broke after Dre left when he was worth about $30 million at the time of his death as he, Ren, and Bone all had plaques and sold millions of records. But since it was promoted by Good Morning America, the UFC, and other white outlets due to the euo small hat screen writers, no one black said a negative thing about it.


What 50 and eminem did were not REAL biopics hahaha. The question is, how can yu work white people into Big L's story or create a "white savior"(what Jerry Heller was in SOC) to sell it to white people? Because men buy what women like and women like what white people promote to them. There was a Juice Crew film years ago about to go into production. They had actors for the roles and everything. I think Evan Ross was going to play shan, David Banner to play Biz, Talib was playing Scott La rock, Keke Palmer as roxanne. That went nowhere. No white savior to sell to white folks.
