Goin on his 4th year and 25 years old he should be better than easy work for Boston in the 1st round. He had crazy hype!

3 years ago, it I told you Joel Embiid entering his prime was the best player on the team with Tobias Harris, Al Horford, Josh Richardson around him, and no Lebron in the East, you would think he’d be running the East.

The team isn't well coached or ran well by the front office.

They took on some bad contracts with Tobias Harris whose like a third or fourth option at best but making superstar type money. Al Horford has a bad contract too.

Embiid is probably the best big in the league along with Jokic, but he plays for a shytty organization right now.

I don't care how good you are bad coaching, poor GM, and playing with overpaid guys not playing to their potential and hurting your team's ability to go get someone that can help you is a lot to overcome. Most players aren't going to be Iverson in '01, LeBron in 07, or LeBron again in '18. Most guys in those situations get stuck not making the playoffs or getting bounced in the first round. That's where Embiid is right now.

All that not mention teams around them like Boston, Toronto, and even Miami to a lesser degree have equally or almost as good young talent but with better coaching and better run front offices.

Everyone is not going to be a winner, but Philly should be better based on the talent they have in him and Simmons and the market they play in.
