the guy missed 2 full seasons, i dont see how yall can brush this off like its nothing

playing 31 games under a 25 min restriction is not a good look for him this season at all (assuming his season is over)

Yea, and honestly, if it's true that they are shutting him down to tank, I mean...

What kind of basketball product are we trending towards? :hhh:

Treadmill teams suck but imagine a league of 4 good teams and the rest tanking. :picard:

while he may be hurting, i get the feeling the sixers just tanking again without making it as obvious as it was these last couple years....they need a wing, so they gonna tank to get one in this draft, then put all those young cats out there next year....they really should try to get josh jackson....i think that dude gonna be nice at the next level....

Which of the top 5 prospects have injury issues?

If the 76ers choose anyone who they know will start the year injured...

Philly fans should riot

No way they're tanking. Its critical to the development of Embid and Simmons that they get on the floor, and learn how to play the NBA game. If those guys are healthy, and the 76ers are keeping them off the floor just to "tank" they are undermining their development and future and it would be absolutely criminal.

Besides, the sixers cant really slot much higher in their draft positioning, and the process is a lottery anyway so its not a firm slot based on their record. I understand management can be idiotic at times, but not this stupid. Got to face facts that Simmons and Embid appear to be damaged goods, and philly fans are gunna have to hold their breath every time these guys cut and slash. Significant injuries this early in one's career usually dont end promisingly.

I don't think they are keeping him and Ben out to tank just for the simple fact that if that shyt ever got out it would damn near sink the franchise. That they're intentionally fukking up injury reports and shyt like that would be too much heat and scrutiny.

Having said that if both of them play next year without going under the knife for each of their respective injuries then you have kind of have the screw face about the whole thing considering they both have been practicing and running pretty intense drills. It wouldn't be tanking as much as it would be just not worth having them play which is pretty much tanking but in a digestible way

while i get, understand, and agree with what you saying, we talking about the sixers here lol....them shutting down simmons and embiid to try to improve their draft position isnt an out of this world possibility....they've done this shyt the last however many years....since it received such backlash, i dont think they will openly say they doing it now, but doesnt mean they not doing it...
