Half of the Top 10 ranked centers right now were in their prime when Dwight was playing and dominating the league so this notion of "there were no centers" is bullshyt.

Dwight doesnt have nearly the offensive skillset that Joel does. that goes without saying but Joel isnt within a moon's distance of Dwight's defensive prowess. Dwight was a 3 time back to back to back DPOY and wouldve been 5 time if he hadnt got hurt when they gave it to Tyson and Gasol. Was an MVP candidate for several years and was playing with guys that were only a couple seasons away from being out the league when he took them to the finals. He goes down, that team isnt even in the playoffs, Embiid has multiple all star level players on his squad. Different players, different responsibilities, different skill sets.

The 09 magic would be even better today then back then. Hell with the faster pace of play, theres no reason Dwight wouldn't average 26-15 today with more posessions per game which means more opportunities for him to score.

Dwight was flanked by 2 6'10 snipers in shard and hedo, and hedo had guard skills, and shard was a great scorer. then you had great defensive player Courtney lee being backed up by peaches with jameer and rafer iat the PG. that team would be amazing today
