Denver Broncos linebacker Joe Mays will be suspended for one game and fined $50,000 by the NFL for his hit on Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub over the weekend.

Mays is appealing the suspension, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Good. Texans should have retaliated and beat his ass. That is the only reason the Broncos had that surge at the end. That cheap shyt gave them momentum.

I though it was an illegal hit and he going to get fined. However, a suspension, do this dude have prior fines because of illegal hits?

based off refs fukkin shyt up and not getting fined/suspended, the league has no reason, IMO, to punish players anymore

that was a clean hit. the nfl is a walking case of hypocrisy. 1 moment they are sayingthat they are about player safety, but they still have replacemet refs on the field that cant call the right calls and potentially comprimise safety. Fining players and or suspending players is not, i repeat NOT going to stop hard hits from happening. This is football, not Tennis. The NFL game is too damn fast and players are too big to simply pull up and adjust how and where they will hit people. :yeshrug:
