Any time they try to blame progressives for the ass whooping that's likely to ensue...remember this thread and Joe Manchin. Because that's the real reason this ass whooping looks more and more unavoidable. The Supreme Court rulings are the only reason there's any electoral hope at the moment...which is just depressing considering the cost.

Bro, they will just re-create the past and create their own narrative. Its no different than what we see from the far right.

"The truth isn't the truth" or whatever that drunk said.

The party would spend more time getting AOC to fold than this clown. He gets no heat for this wrenching buffoonery. Has to be a front for the higher ups not wanting progress. There's just no other way he gets away with it. :francis:

I wish there was a tangible primary candidate to replace him with, but I think his approval rating went up like 20 points or something with all this agenda-stalling.

Nothing to do with any "higher-ups", he's just a corrupt a$$hole and doesn't care about the party. :yeshrug:

And he knows it's either him or a Republican so nobody in the Dem party has any leverage over him.

I wonder, if he switched parties would he simply fall in line, or continue to be a nail in the tire for the Repubs. :jbhmm:

Nope, he'd stay in line because -

1. He would get primaried
2. He's ideologically conservative anyway and his personal interests line up with him voting that way

The problem is he lives in a very right-wing state so he's just not worried about being primaried from the left. :francis:
