I'm 100% on Kdot's side and disagree with this. Why drop the diss alongside the Future album at midnight? The album is gonna get more streams. If he dropped something today at 6PM for instance it would make more sense, but personally I'd drop something next week. Not next Friday, which is Taylor Swift's album release date. But early in the week, diss track in the afternoon for people to obsess over....seems like a good idea.

Because they both got accolades (Dot has ones Drake doesn't), they both got fanbases, they both got chart and streaming records, they both got record grossing tours. So enlighten us on what makes Drake's "run" better.

Cap. No beef makes a song #1 for three weeks, beating out an entire BEYONCE album. The album was hot, the song was hot, people fukk with it. And given how well Metro's last album sold week-to-week this isn't a shock. He got the game on lock.
Megan went #1 with a Drake diss and immediately fell off the charts a week later. That's what happens when your shyt is based entirely on attention. When it's real it lasts. We got people reciting a Kendrick verse in the clubs...that shyt isn't because of a diss.
It’s a COUNTRY Beyonce album. Let’s not ignore that. Beyonce made an expansionist play and it didn’t really resonate that well. The other singles aren’t even doing that well. She’s going to have to work this album.
Kendrick popped out, dissed, and attacked two industry heavy-weights. Thats way different than Beyonce’s marketing gimmick.

What makes a run impressive is how long they stay at the peak at their popularity without falling off or being surpassed in popularity by another rapper.
Remember the run 50 Cent had in 2003? The run Snoop had in 93? Drake has been maintaining that same peak he had in 2011 for 15 years. I dont know how you can deny the greatness of this run.
This run he's on is the equivalent of 50 cent staying as hot as he was in 2003 and maintaining it for 15 years straight.
