This makes zero sense. Drake wanted to battle Murda Mook a year ago "for the culture". Career-wise, aside from raising his profile as an MC among "real hip-hop heads" he had no reason to do that. Obviously win or lose Mook had far more to gain from it than Drake.

Then the QM shyt hit and deaded all that. Drake ain't been back on the battle circuit....I don't mean bullshyt like "Back 2 Back"....I mean actual battle events like Blackout 5, etc....since then. Because he knows that scene don't give a fukk about club hits or how much you streamed on Apple.

So....why don't Drake respond to Budden, like he was going to do with Mook? By your logic the only reason Mook would keep popping shyt, talking about he'll eat Drake in a battle....is for attention. And Drake was interested in battling him, anyway. Aight cool....do it with Budden.

Drake was talking all that Murda Mook stuff as a novelty. He grew up watching Mook on DVD's, it would be like a wrestler taking a pic with the Iron Sheik. And as you know he decided against it. Joe Budden is neither a threat (Meek armed w/ the ghostwriting stuff) or a novelty (a battle rapper from 2004). I can see by your other replies that you are on some doing windmills on a piece of cardboard shyt. And anybody who signs every single post they make is statistically crazy. Unfortunately for you and Joe it's not 1988 anymore and Drake is not gonna give him any more attention than he (Joe) is getting for himself off of this, because that's the modern 2016 way of doing things

You gotta remember back in the mood muzik 2 & 3 days Joe didn't really release music regularly and Twitter didn't exist, so no one really knew about his attention seeking and fukkery because he really didn't have an outlet except mixtapes and an interview here and there, I was like 16 when MM3 dropped and I remembered the amount of hype and buzz Joe had coming off of MM2 on message boards, dude was known as one of the realist because that's the only time you heard him

Drakes a studio rapper (don't get it twisted I like his music), the Meek situation was like a perfect storm! You gotta remember Drake spent most of his career actively avoiding direct confrontation ("diss me you'll never hear a response for it"). Occasionally he'd throw slick shots at Jay, Ye, and Sean...then he'd hop on a record with them . With Meek it was different, he had to change the subject of "ghostwriting" to "music/ diss records". He also knew Meek was an easy target, he's not skilled in the ways of MCing to do a good diss track...he's just gonna rappity rap rap and scream about his watches. The thing that really gave Drake the win was not only did he respond in the first place, but he got Meek 2 times before he even opened your mouth...he got bodied by the singing nikka.

I'll just say I'd be extremely shocked if Drake responds directly.

Drake tried to play that nice guy role cause he knew eventually he would get called out for his fukkery, he's an actor turned rapper bruh. there's nothing hard about him. if he can diss Meek he can do the same to Budden. but Joey is a different beast when it comes to the skill of rapping.

I never really fukked with Joe Budden, but what he's doing in these two diss tracks is amazing. Even if this doesn't do anything to hurt Drake's career he's asking the right questions and letting everybody know how shady Drake really is. How much of an actual culture vulture he is even more than any Post Malone cuz at least Post had the balls to say fukk rap, I just used yall. Drake is manipulating the game and we cant be mad at that, because everyone else now is doing the same thing. Authenticity is dead and you can thank Jigga for that. Jay Z gave rappers the cheat codes back during The Blueprint and The Black Album. Drake is just REALLY REALLY good at it. Paying people off for their verses or songs or whole albums, having a whole round table of ghostwriters, hopping on struggling rappers break out singles to the point you think it's his song, dude even steals the dances everybody thinks are so corny that Drake HAD to invent himself. Everything is smoke and mirrors and like I said before we honesty cant even be mad at Drake for being good at his craft, he's figured rap out, business wise, media wise, music wise. But what he does need is a little more competition and people acknowledging what he really is and instead of sucking up to him for a lil money or lane just fight back. It's what Meek tried to do (but memes pretty much killed him more than the music), it's what Pusha talks about subliminally and it's what Joe is doing at this very moment.

Jay Z needs to stop sending subliminals and gather his kids....

I sure as fukk are not comfortable lol. I've talked plenty of shyt, budden has me blocked on Twitter. I like Drake's music a lot more than Buddens but if you want to keep it Hip Hop, he gave him a Mike Tyson two piece.
