Drakes a studio rapper (don't get it twisted I like his music), the Meek situation was like a perfect storm! You gotta remember Drake spent most of his career actively avoiding direct confrontation ("diss me you'll never hear a response for it"). Occasionally he'd throw slick shots at Jay, Ye, and Sean...then he'd hop on a record with them
. With Meek it was different, he had to change the subject of "ghostwriting" to "music/ diss records". He also knew Meek was an easy target, he's not skilled in the ways of MCing to do a good diss track...he's just gonna rappity rap rap and scream about his watches. The thing that really gave Drake the win was not only did he respond in the first place, but he got Meek 2 times before he even opened your mouth...he got bodied by the singing nikka.I'll just say I'd be extremely shocked if Drake responds directly.
