I put these guys over half your list. Really dont believe in arbitrary sought after/revered hip hop producer lists. While i respect their craft/contributions, if were going off of personal playlists, ive bumped these guys way more than vast majority of greats on your list (save for tim, nep, ye, dilla, pete and quik… not a huge fan over most. Id even put Daz over Dre… anyday: even warren is greater than him).
This is coming from somebody who listens to music at least 10 hours a day (minimum) for the past thirty something years. Specifically this genre.
But while on the topic… swizzie is somewhere in the 45-50 range.

Down consider himself a top tier/within 20 all time.

I dare anyone rating Swizz high to go beat for beat against any good to great to elite producer. All they can do is say is Swizz has the bigger hit. The actual beat itself won't stand up to scrutiny.
You can pick one beat from most producers that Swizz can't match or clear with the entirety of his catalog.
I'll give examples:
Large Professor - It Ain't Hard to Tell
Ski - Politics As Usual
Alchemist - Worst Comes to Worst
Madlib - Thuggin
Bink - Santorini Greece
9th - The Way You Do It
There's nothing you can put against these musically.
I swear if a no name producer played that beat for Jay he would've been laughed out the studio. That sounds like an 8-bit video game with drums on it.
People are lemmings and will defend garbage just because it's popular. They can't use critical thinking or be analytical.
You can pick one beat from most producers that Swizz can't match or clear with the entirety of his catalog.

That’s my issue with producers like Swizz. Like he caught him a couple hits and got gassed off that. Of course rappers are going to work with the producer of the moment. You’re not thinking about if the beat will sound good in 20 years.. you want that money right now. No name producers who produce better beats than Swizz get overlooked because they’re nowhere near as popular. shyt is crazy
