Swizz is one of them dudes that has to be one of the coolest muhfukkas on the planet, in person ….its the only way I can reconcile the success and social standing of certain famous people, relative to their talent and everything else when you account for it all ….there is no rational explanation otherwise why Swizz’s acclaim is so high to where he’s in a top 5 GOAT conversation…like, he’s maybe a top 5 hip hop producer celebrity if that make sense…and that leads people to think of him as some great producer, but that’s ridiculous

Another example I always use on here is DeAndre Jordan…that nikka must be the man in the locker room, cause how is he still making NBA rosters

being able to expand your sound is key in assessing GREATNESS. Plus lets not act that like these ain't hip hop beats singers we're singing over, you can easily get any high caliber rapper to spit over the R&B joints. Nobody is taking away Tim's greatness for producing Alliyah and ginuwine, that's actually an asset to his argument on why he's TOP 5-10 of all time

And comparing mainstream artist to underground artists is disingenuous as hell, most of Dillas best beats are recognized as instrumentals which is fine in the underground world but blasphemous in the mainstream world

A general top ranking shows respect to BOTH underground and mainstream, that's why Dilla is there.


If you see DOOM in someone's top list it because in the underground he IS legit top 5, and you can't just blatantly ignore purist underground rap's existence like that. He's the Nas/Jay-Z of that shyt and even those guys would tell you to put respect on his name.
