Ay...Paul Mooney really lived his lyrics too lol. Went to this comedy club w/ one of my co-worker hella years ago, and he brought his messican gf (i aint gon hold you, she was badder than a mf tho).
Get into the spot and we damn near right in front. When he came out he didn't give much of a show (he looked spent) and he had dikk Gregory w/ him. Paul was talking a lil but it was mostly Di- ...Mr. Gregory speaking. They ain't really do that many jokes, they was just speaking about black ppl struggles and shyt. It was a group of young YT ppl on a upper deck who ended up leaving because of said talk lol.
After the show, we leaving and we see him and Gregory at the front near the door sitting down for the let out so my co-worker girl like "I wanna meet him!". In my head, I got the straight Kobe smiley, but I sit back to see how this interaction went.
bro...why she went up to talk to this man Paul Mooney (mind you she had "the right black dress" on, so..yea) and tried to shake his hand, he looked past her, around her thru her like she wasnt there. Gregory had to kinda step in and shake her hand on his behalf and said to her "he had a long day". But soon as she walk off he back to being friendly to everyone
