Thing is, my comment had nothing to do with the diss...i was speaking on him calling drake a nobody in 09 when thats clearly not the case...hell there was a thread on here matter of fact comparing his buzz in 09 to 50's in 2003 and Nelly's in 00. Joe budden is a piece of shyt as a person and outside of his fans most people wouldn't care if he stopped making music tomorrow.

However, no one on a hip hop message board typing out arguments is a light weight hip hop head so let's keep it Hip Hop.....from a Hip Hop stand point, not a popularity or good guy award stand point, you can say that so far it's been weak. I'm not a Budden fan either since I think that his excessive whining is overshadowing his talent as an MC, but he does come with some bars. The only thing Drake has going for himself is letting his ghostwriters fight his battles for him. Budden may win the battle, but corporations and media outlets are going to spin this as another Drake win. This is about protecting the golden boy at all costs, never mind everything else.

When Mook offered to battle Drake live Drake started copping pleas talking about "he gotta beat Tsu Surf first, he's not on my level yet". So if anything Drake was downplaying Mook's relevance in that field.

For all intents and purposes Mook and Budden are the same. Drake had nothing to gain or lose from baiting Mook, and still did it. Aight cool, do the same to Budden. There is no logical explanation for why he can't. Anything you apply to Mook, applies to Budden. You breaking down the intricacies of why Mook is "relevant in his field"....shyt is honestly because Drake fans don't give a fukk about that. It's like breaking down who the best QB is, to a group of people that don't watch sports.

Yup, it's why Meek never could win. The big corporations that use Drake's popularity in their favor to market their products can't have a 'lame' or a 'loser' associated with their brand. Sprite doesn't want to slang dork drinks. They want to look 'cool' or part of popular culture.

From a Hip Hop stand point Meek got em with music and so has Budden so far. Drake just isn't an MC. We learned that from Meek but it's been solidified with this lack of a response. I know he's busy partying and fukking models which is awesome, it just doesn't make him a decent MC. That ship sailed already. He will never be taken serious as an MC. He just makes damn good club/party music. Some of the best this generation has seen.
