Those Drake songs are CLEARLY not rap. Nobody in their right fukking mind would argue the point you're trying to make. Cee-Lo is a rapper, "Crazy" is not rap. Andre is a rapper, "Hey Ya" is not rap.

It's not rocket science. It's not as if I'm saying "Regulators" ain't rap because it has singing. It's not like I'm saying BONE ain't rap because it's melodic. I'm saying songs that are obviously another genre, are not rap. You must be on the same drugs Budden was on when he "heard" all those Drake subs.

Now that we cleared that up, you named 3 pop hits as a reason why Drake doesn't have to respond to a diss record. It's....awful logic. I'm not saying it's impossible to argue the point that Drake doesn't have to respond....but the shyt you said is nonsensical.

Not comparing, referencing. The point is that melodic songs are just that, melodic and or "slower" songs on a rap album. Nothing more. Nor does that mean they aren't "rap". You're trying to compartmentalize songs within a rapper's catalogue that don't fit your skewed definition of "rap". Cherry picking is adorable, but its also illogical.
