The context was that he was talking about how it's fukked up that people get cancelled by supposed lgbt leaders and pretty much asking he made them the authority on everything lgbt. He then started a hypothetical scenario where someone is bisexual, how does he get the news out, etc.
In other words, he gave a hypothetical but spoke as if it was him to ask his question.
