If anything this goes to show how Shae Butter Twitter moves. One of their "leaders" tweets or writes in their rag sum gahbage (incidently did u read that shyt, you could almost hear "him" twirling his hair while talking in a voice to text program :scust:) Then its picked up by another of their minions on a bigger site talkin bout this topic is trending on twitter right now, then its picked up by the main stream media. Then once its refuted to be bs, dead silence or folks just continue with the jokes like nothing happened. Whole shyt is :hhh: worthy

Conservatives on this forum are having a field day.

If dems primary voters elect this fumbling racist buffoon as the candidate then they deserve to lose to Trump.
How he's leading the dem polls still is testament to the fact that most Americans do not want change and progress and the ones
who do either do not vote (young adults and college students) or have little impact on the outcome of the election (black people).
White liberals and latinas would rather vote for Biden over progressive candidates:gucci:

Which are mostly old people (over 40) who tend to be religious and conservative hence their preference for moderate dems over progressives plus his name recognition as obama's VP

His support amongst younger black people who really want change but unfortunately don't vote is much lower.

The truth is that the "Progressive Movement" isn't as popping as you think it is.

They're extremely vocal online and, because you can basically curate your own online experience for the most part, it makes it look like a popular movement.

But outside of no brainers like allowing gay people to have the benefits of marriage and equal treatment by the law for all people, most of the views aren't popular to most people.

High taxes will never be popular in the US because we never had outrageously high taxes like Europe and Canada. You try to take even more money out of people's checks and it'll be American revolution 2.0

"Free" healthcare won't work because people don't want to feel like they're footing the bill for people who don't contribute.

A large amount of people respect government, but don't trust them at all, so the idea of giving the government even more power over everyday life is a scary proposition.

This isn't me advocating for the system as-is, it definitely needs to be fixed, but progressivism is something you grow out of as you age and get more experience in the real world

Random twitter and youtube users fill in for journalists these days, and if/when they are wrong....there is usually never a retraction.

If the original writer issues a retraction, it would surprise me.

I'm not upset at Joe putting this story out but people ignoring his racist ass policies with the crime bill of 94 and Patriot act. Fukk him.

even before that he exposed himself pushing for 100-1 sentencing disparity for crack

and his co-chairman was going for 1000-1 :francis:

https://beta.washingtonpost.com/pol...bb4c98-9dcf-11e9-85d6-5211733f92c7_story.html

His status as the top Democrat on the Judiciary Committee and leader of a Democratic working group on narcotics abuse made Biden a key player in the rush to pass a final bill before November, according to published accounts of the bill’s passage and people who worked on the legislation. A year later, he would mount a brief, unsuccessful presidential bid.

The Anti-Drug Abuse Act authorized more than $1 billion for drug enforcement, education and treatment programs. But one of its most consequential provisions was the “100-1” rule, so named because it required a five-year mandatory minimum sentence for trafficking in 500 grams of powder cocaine or five grams of crack.

Though Biden took responsibility for the formula in 2002, it is unclear exactly how it came to be part of his bill. The ratio was more aggressive than proposals from either the Reagan administration, which sought a “20-1” rule, or House Democrats, who held the majority and sought a “50-1” rule, but less aggressive than the “1,000-1” ratio proposed by Sen. Lawton Chiles (D-Fla.), the co-chairman of Biden’s working group.

I agree and disagree. It's squarely generational
democratic socialism is very popular amongst millennials who are the ones bearing the brunt of rugged capitalism the US practices and have grown completely disillusioned by it whereas capitalism and dog eats dog world economy is what the older generation grew up with and it's what they have always known and as the saying goes, you can't teach old dogs new tricks.

America will either become a democratic socialist country like canada,UK,norway etc in the future when the younger generation takes over or it will turn to full fascism. something will have to give.

A lot of millennials are in a state of arrested development. They live lives completely online and rarely interact with real people with opposing views. That robs them of very valuable life experiences. Everything is black and white. Evil vs good. Socialism or fascism

I don't really see Democratic socialism taking off because, unlike those European countries, America isnt homogeneously white and quite larger than those countries. And even they are struggling under the weight of so many obligations.

You see how white Europeans are starting to buck as the number of Muslim immigrants increases? That's because it's an easy sell to convince someone to chip in and help support people who look like themselves, who believe in the same things, and share a historical connection, not so much when its "other" people who you disagree with on many fundamental issues.
