Maybe if public health in some of our communities was better, then we wouldn't be getting hit so hard right now. But that's not up for discussion in the media obviously.

Please explain how the moderates are worse racists than Republicans. I want specific examples. I’ll start off with 2, on why this is bullshyt.

1) I hate using criminal justice as a black issue, because we’re not all criminals. But the Obama administration’s DOJ was not required to file certain sentencing enhancements that automatically doubled minimum mandatory sentences. It’s automatic in the trump administration. I guess this policy just happens to affect black people more.

2) the way republicans treat anything having to do with race. Trump goes into office and tells the DOJ to start looking for ways to kill affirmative action. Affirmative action is one of the few programs that openly states that it’s supposed to help minorities (even if it mainly benefits white women) and getting rid of it is a top republican goal.
