His pick should be Buttigieg.

Dems just need to flip any three Rust Belt states and they win the nomination. Buttigieg is a Mid-Western politician. The proof is there; he won Iowa, almost stole NH and was very competitive across Nevada. Literally all three of those are swing states. He's not polling well in the South, but then he doesn't need to. Biden is a moderate and will at least be somewhat competive in the south and may even flip North Carolina and potentially Florida. Pete would just need to focus his campaigning in the Mid West. If Biden can flip neighboring Pennsylvania, Pete can help him flip Indiana, and they can turn NC and PA back to the Dems then they crush Trump.

I think Klobuchar would end up hurting Biden. They need to think objectively and stop with these symbolic appointments if they are serious about winning. Kamala, a black woman as a running mate? Just don't see it. Only woman I see being a viable running mate is Warren, and that's only because she will bring the "progressives" along who the Dems may fear may not show up in the numbers that they need. Heck, Bloomberg may be a better running mate than some of these names I'm seeing mentioned.I could be wrong though and Klobuchar may just be the politician he needs to secure Mid-West votes.
Pete ain’t got no cedentials. Especially being that close to a line of succession to old ass Joe.

Amy kept championing that she wins votes in the Midwest from older white men more than any other candidate. They May think that’s the winning strategy
frankly, if that 53 percent of white women flips from trump to biden, then trump is finished on that alone

im not terribly excited about an amy klobuchar vice presidency, but if bloomberg charters her around the midwest for a few months using that "im the daughter of a coal miner" bullshyt, democrats probably flip it pretty easy and thats the election. trump can even keep florida and ohio if they just win wisconsin, penn and michigan

looking at that senate race, im thinking biden is gonna take arizona too

Biden to start considering running mates, consulted Obama

Biden to start considering running mates, consulted Obama

Reuters) - Democratic presidential front-runner Joe Biden said on Sunday he needed to start vetting possible running mates “in a matter of weeks” and that he discussed the pick with former President Barack Obama.

Biden’s vice presidential options will include at least six or seven women who will be subjected to background checks to ensure there will not “be any snafu,” he told donors at a fundraising event held by telephone.

“I have to start that vetting process relatively soon, meaning in a matter of weeks,” he said. “I think there will be a group that is in excess of six or seven people who I’ll look at.”

Biden said at a Democratic debate last week that he would pick a woman for the job, a qualification he reiterated on Sunday.

Biden also emphasized that the woman would have to agree with his fundamental view on policies, including healthcare, education and the need for expansive U.S. influence in the world. He said he shared that kind of common ground with Obama - whom he served as vice president - although they sometimes differed on tactics.

Above all, the person would need to be qualified to serve as president immediately.

“I’ve actually talked to Barack about this - the most important thing is that it has to be someone who, the day after they’re picked, is prepared to be president of the United States of America if something happened,” said Biden, 77.

Biden holds a strong lead over Senator Bernie Sanders, his lone remaining rival for the party’s nomination to face Republican President Donald Trump in November’s election.

Sidelined from campaigning in public because of the coronavirus crisis that has put nearly one in three Americans under orders to stay at home, Biden said he would start broadcasting on Monday morning from his home in Delaware.

Those briefings will give Biden a way to offer an alternative to the daily news conferences on the coronavirus held by Trump, whose disaster response Biden has criticized.
That doesn't necessarily mean that Liz is out :patrice:.
