its more about the patience

i doubt she'd be willing to sit there for 8 years

or sit there for 4 then have biden run again and potentially lose
So she’s going to remove her self from the most direct path to the Democratic nomination and likely go against the VP and a host of other candidates in 2028? That doesn’t sound to wise.

It makes sense that Susan Rice was a decoy the whole time. Makes Kamala pick a lot more palatable.

Went from Kamala :hhh:

To Kamala :whew:

if the assumption that Rice is not ambitious is true, then Kamala wouldnt be running against the VP
Things change. You can’t bank on that 8 years later. That also discounts other candidates that have 8 years to build themselves. I just don’t see where that puts her in better position at all.

Why are ya’ll scared of Susan Rice? Don’t let the media get you into a frenzy of picking one highly qualified but flawed candidate over another highly qualified but flawed candidate.

I want my student loan forgiveness, and assistance against systemic racism. I don’t give a fukk who gives it to me. I still don’t like Biden, but if he is pushing progressive policies he’ll get my vote.
We also want to WIN

Susan Rice will be eviscerated by the GOP....they will see it as their cue to rally behind Trump one last time instead of scurrying from the sinking ship by Labor Day like we all know they plan to do if he picks Warren or Kamala

This shyt is in the bag with Liz or Harris....the progressives will rally behind him, the youth will see him as open to new ideas and change, and it will solidify the Black vote that truth be told is STILL on the fence low key

Perhaps

It may not be the deciding factor but I guarantee its a conversation behind the scenes. Its not like the Democrats havent shooed in a preferred candidate 8 years in advance before (hillary)

The dems always give the repubs unnecessary ammo. But just like everything else it will pass. There's too much shyt going on right now to focus on his VP pick for too long. And if repubs wanna bring the ruckus Dems need to go just as hard back at them for 160K deaths which far outweighs any Benghazi bullshyt they bring.

Kamala won't win the 2024 Dem nom. Newsom or Cuomo will beat her. People will not vote for Kamala to be president.

Biden needs to pick Whitmer, Warren, or Demings.

This shyt is stupid. Make the choice and get on with it.
He could have just made the pick in the beginning and been done with it. I guess he thought he was gonna drop this dope female vp pick on us. It's cool the process did bring a lot of names to the forefront that I had never heard of.

You're confident a Biden-Rice administration is going to pursue meaningful student loan forgiveness and other progressive policies? :usure:

That shyt finna be a straight re-run of the Obama years :francis:

Willie Brown: Kamala Harris should 'politely decline' any offer to be Biden's running mate

Former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown (D) advised Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) to "politely decline" any offer to be presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s running mate.

Brown wrote that the vice presidency would likely hinder any further political ambitions for Harris.

“Historically, the vice presidency has often ended up being a dead end. For every George H.W. Bush, who ascended from the job to the presidency, there’s an Al Gore, who never got there,” Brown wrote in an op-ed for the San Francisco Examiner.

Brown, who served as mayor from 1996 to 2004, has said he briefly dated Harris while she was an Alameda County, Calif., deputy district attorney. As Speaker of the California Assembly, he later appointed her to positions on the state Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board and the California Medical Assistance Commission.

The former mayor further noted that Biden and his vice president would almost certainly take office amid a continued economic downturn.

“The next few years promise to be a very bumpy ride,” he wrote. “Barack Obama and the Democrats saved the nation from economic collapse when he took office, and their reward was a blowout loss in the 2010 midterm elections.”

Brown suggested Harris could be more effective, and better positioned for an ongoing political career, as U.S. attorney general.

“Given the department’s current disarray under William Barr, just showing up and being halfway sane will make the new AG a hero,” he wrote. “Best of all, being attorney general would give Harris enough distance from the White House to still be a viable candidate for the top slot in 2024 or 2028, no matter what the state of the nation.”

Biden has promised to name a woman as his running mate. In addition to Harris, other contenders reportedly include Sens. Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.) and Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Rep. Karen Bass (D-Calif.), former national security adviser Susan Rice and Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D).
