It ain't like he can just snap his finger and pick someone. All the candidates are currently going through a deep background check that could last up to 8 weeks to make sure there aren't things that could disqualify her from the job or cause embarrassment for the campaign.mans learned nothing from 2016.

What about the lesser known ( but perhaps less polarizing) options like the Mayor of Atlanta or Demmings?
Mayor of Atlanta to VP won’t play well and invites a ton of scrutiny
Demmings probably doesn’t have enough national cache or policy background. Biden’s perceived current state hurts her.

I don't like the idea of making a mayor the VP of the United States. I said the same thing about Mayor Pete. Not enough experience. Biden needs someone who can help him govern and I don't see how she does that.
Demmings is an interesting idea. She's only been in congress for two terms but was chief of police of the Orlando police dept. Not sure I'd outright say she's qualified either but she has a better resume than the mayor of ATL. I still think Kamala has them both beat as AG of California and then a senator.
