We call upon our fellow farmers, neighbors and friends to join John Boyd in his call for President Joe Biden to issue a Farm Foreclosure Moratorium to save American Farmers. The Biden Mortgage Moratorium must include foreclosure protection for USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) Farm Ownership Direct and Guaranteed Loans as other Agricultural Loans while legislative remedies are being debated in Congress.
America's Farmers are worth saving!

I know it’s not the point of the thread but there is a call to action here and it seems worth supporting. Biden can do this without Congress.

Also… the same logic that’s blocking the payments to Black farmers would probably be used to stop reparations payments. So I hope people are working on a work around.

Seems like the Democrats DIDN’T DO ANYTHING. They just said “it’s too hard, but let us put in a chess move to get your dumb black asses in the polls for midterms”

None of that “money” made it to their hands.

Just a performance. If there is the political will to do so, it will be done.

But the entire initiative has been stymied amid lawsuits from white farmers and groups representing them that questioned whether the government could offer debt relief based on race.

Courts in Wisconsin and Florida have issued preliminary injunctions against the initiative, siding with plaintiffs who argued that the debt relief amounted to discrimination and could therefore be illegal. A class-action lawsuit against the U.S.D.A. is proceeding in Texas this year.

Update:

this ya'll boy right?

:jbhmm:Did you watch the video? He specifically mentions lawsuits stymied the black farmer relief efforts

FEDERAL JUDGES were striking it down after white farmers challenged it. At 7:00 he himself mentions Biden tried to get something going and it got blocked.

Yesterday we had a giant thread on black federal judges being put in and guess what? Bunch of folks act like it is no big deal. Then, instead of complaining about the lawsuits blocking the inclusion of relief for black farmers, he goes on a "Will Democrats do anything for black people?" Instead of educating his viewership about the importance of representation in the judiciary, this happens.

This is what I am talking about: white supremacists can block everything and Democrats get blamed. These matters are still in the courts.

Every time he appoints a black judge, you damn MAGA shilling "Trump is my dad" c00ns say its just symbolism and tokenism when brehs have been trying to get y’all to see that this is the exact reason why black judges are necessary. Trump appointed MAGA judges and those racist devils are doing their best to keep that money from getting to black farmers. There's nothing Joe can do besides letting it go through the court system.

Yea, they made it race-blind, but need-based, which should still allow it to reach/target Black farmers in need. That's a good way to get around the lawsuits.

SEC. 22006. FARM LOAN IMMEDIATE RELIEF FOR BORROWERS WITH AT-RISK
AGRICULTURAL OPERATIONS.

In addition to amounts otherwise available, there is appropriated
to the Secretary for fiscal year 2022, out of amounts in the Treasury
not otherwise appropriated, $3,100,000,000, to remain available until
September 30, 2031, to provide payments to, for the cost of loans or
loan modifications for, or to carry out section 331(b)(4) of the
Consolidated Farm and Rural Development Act (7 U.S.C. 1981(b)(4)) with
respect to distressed borrowers of direct or guaranteed loans
administered by the Farm Service Agency under subtitle A, B, or C of
that Act (7 U.S.C. 1922 through 1970). In carrying out this section,
the Secretary shall provide relief to those borrowers whose
agricultural operations are at financial risk as expeditiously as
possible, as determined by the Secretary.

Just remember when people are in here getting pissed off that things don’t target Black people specifically, they need to stop bytching at the proposers and get mad at the opposition. This country has shown that if you platform too heavily for Black people then you will be shut out and get nothing done. Then voters will blame you.

This is why I stay out of a lot of reparations comments these days. They don’t anticipate a few steps ahead to avoid this shyt which WILL happen and they are so hung up on what they want it to look like that they’re refusing to take actual funds or programs that are on the table. this is how most civil rights programs have to work.

The Asian bill wasn’t only for Asians. It was just nominally for them. ANYONE can apply for the money.

Act like this place is as bad as you say it is so you’ll know what a win looks like!
