Unless you like seeing cool movies on IMAX in general, like a lot of people.

I drove an hour to see TDK, TDKR, Interstellar and Ghost Protocol on IMAX screens. I'll do the same for this I imagine.
Was going to see it at IMAX like most tentpole movies :mjcry:

2 heads are better than 1 and all but "Wayne did a milli, 50 did a milli, ye too but what em did was silly" I mean civil war is already going to be a task in itself but to go from that straight to shooting both infinity wars at once :patrice:l can see someone suffering from mental fatigue

Whedon was doing both the writing and the directing. No damn way would he have been able to cope with doing two Infinity War movies back to back. With The Russos they're only doing the directing and two heads are better one like you said. It's the same with the writers as well who have already worked with them. Winter Soldier was pretty much their test for this movie. There was a lot to juggle and I thought it was going to be a huge mess but it was handled almost flawlessly with the action shot very well. I'm sure this will have a similar structure but on a bigger scale.

I ain't questioning that the russos will surpass whedon (I thought he was overrated much like faverau) but the timing is a cause for concern. First avenger was like 2011? TWS came out last year, that was 3 years to concentrate on 1 movie and it showed. They just started production for civil war today and it's coming out in a year? Thats not enough time to produce something of this magnitude at all.

It's pretty much the same as the last film. They started filming The Winter Soldier in late March 2013 it came out a year later in the same month. Script's been done for a while and they've been on board since April last year, when it was confirmed they were coming back.

I am sure they used those 2 years to get all their ducks in a row we didn't even know they were doing civil war for cap 3 until bvs news leaked. So it's not really the same because they have less pre production time and the same production to release time frame for what is set to be a much grander movie, like I said pause for thought

TWS was around the same time frame. The script has been done for a while. Only changes were the spidey changes.

These dudes went from doing me, you, and dupree amd community to top tier comic book films. Either they were held back or they're the perfect puppets for the warden Feige.

non of this leaves me with confidence that they are essentially going to have the same production time scale for a much broader and expanded movie

In the Sony leaks The Russo brothers mention Civil War had two scripts ready to go one with Spidey and one without just in case the Sony deal didn't go through. Fiege recently stated in a interview that Marvel knew they had Spidey by the time they announced the Phase 3 movies but they were just waiting for it to be finalized before they announced it.

'Avengers: Infinity War - Part 1' Casting Underway For Magus

1435101535720

According to SpoilerTV, auditions are now underway for Marvel's two part epic, Avengers: Infinity War lead and supporting roles. The auditions for the roles will be taking place in Los Angeles, CA.

One of the roles that Marvel is looking to cast is apparently the one of Magus. In the comics, Magus is the evil counterpart of Adam Warlock, who was created by Lord Chaos and Master Order in order to oppose Thanos. He later assembled the Infinity Gauntlet and created doppelgangers of Earth's heroes as part of his plan to recreate a universe of evil.
“Auditions are now getting underway for the Marvel Studios feature film ‘Avengers: Infinity War – Part I’ lead and supporting roles. The auditions for new lead and supporting roles will be taking place in Los Angeles, CA. The film is the first in a two-part sequel in which Thanos plays a major role, along with the Magus. Adam Warlock’s bad side, the Magus, separates from his body and assembles the Infinity Gauntlet. Magus creates doppelgangers of Earth’s heroes as part of his plan to recreate a universe of evil. “Avengers: Infinity War – Part I” will be shot entirely on the IMAX/ARRI 2D digital camera.”
Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 & 2 will be directed by the Russo Brothers and is expected to shoot for 9 months beggining late 2016.
